Now that creative has been taken away...

Could we open up some form of shops? I would like to buy purple wool and glass and stone brick for Singalow.

You could actually go out and get the stuff for your building, or buy it from other people. I'd offer to give you some of the things you need but the whole one-handed-play thing has made that kind of hard. I could probably get you a fair bit of stonebrick if you need though.

Thanks TIL, but the problem is the purple wool. I found that cobble and stone brick aren't as hard to procure as I thought they would be. Glass shouldn't be terribly hard either, as singalow is Right next to a desert. The problem is purple wool. I need to shear sheep, gather roses, and find large amounts of lapis in order to produce it. So singalow is on hold for now.

Lapis is, generally speaking, one of the materials I end up with an excess of when I go mining. Roses have also become a lot easier to acquire with the ability to make more with bonemeal.

Try to keep in mind here you're talking to a guy who had a 3,000 block long mine. I find it hard to believe it's anything but a lack of effort that stops people from getting most resources, with very few exceptions.
